Important Announcements and Date(s):

IParent is up and running! (Have you set up your account yet?)

*Parents, Guardians, and Students can now view assignments and their grades by loging into IParent. Please be patient with how quickly assignment grades are posted. Depending on length of an assignment it may take a few days to post those grades.  Hopefully, things will transition smoothly as we get used to using this new system. We hope IParent will be used as an effective tool for you to check to see how your student is doing in class and ask any questions about assignments.

* Second Semester is coming to a close Friday!

We are already half way through the school year (wow!). Grades will be closing this week. If you have any questions or concerns about your grades check iParent or email me.

 Extra Help Sessions...

*Drama is in full swing...extra help hours may change weekly depending my schedule.

The mornings will probably still work the best.

*I am available Tuesday mornings at 7am for extra help.

Geography Update...
Students have worked long and hard on becoming skilled geographers. We will be applying these skils to our new areas of study as begin to look at various places around the world. This month, we have just begun our new unit of study which is Africa. During this unit, the students will take a tour of the four main regions; North, West, East, and South. During each mini unit we will focus on a particular country to highlight each of the regions. Currently, we are working on the region of North Africa with Egypt as our key country. In this mini unit we are going to look at who the people of North Africa are, how the landscape plays a role in where people live, and the challenges facing these nations.

Please feel free to ask your student what he/she is learning in class.
